Dancers Wanted For Shows In South Australia

Seeking three fun, talented, experienced, lively, and charismatic dancers to join shows for POPinc. A seven-piece experienced, well-established, pop show band currently creating new themed shows targeting corporate and touring opportunities.

POPinc are working on a choreographed, visually exciting, professional show, "Forever 80s" with a vast number of songs, costumes and much more. Each show will involve two, one-hour sets and eventually will have established four different themed shows that consumers can choose from for their venue; event or function. The band consists of lead vocals; a guitarist; a keys' player; a bassist; a drummer; three pro dancers; and two backing vocalists. However, two dances only will be required at each gig and be on a rotation schedule.

The various roles undertaken by all 3 dancers will include:
- Perform choreographed routines with and without vocalists (approx 60 % of the show)
- Costume changes and incorporation of props,
- Partake in sufficient rehearsals with and without the band.
- Teaching of some choreography to the three vocalists will also be required (basic/parts)
- Crowd engagement/crowd mingling/taking videos and photos with crowd; get them up dancing etc.

The lead — will be responsible for managing how the dancers carry out their role and function within the band. They need to ensure that sufficient choreography has been learned; schedule and manage rehearsals; delicate roles within the group if necessary; take lead in decision-making and ensure communication is transparent and clear between dancers and band.
Their first role will be to work with the band around preparing for the show (which songs will feature dancers and which will not; costumes; learning the show and scheduling/attending rehearsals; and developing routines).
Gigs will require only two dancers, and all three will be rostered on rotation.

As we are targeting the corporate world; rehearsals will be an expectation and will be reasonably frequent - especially to begin with. Our first commitment is on December 2nd with other shows booked ongoing – the next being two Christmas corporate functions in Port Lincoln (8th 9th 10th December)
