Drum Instructor Wanted In Connecticut

Qualifications
•
Proven experience as a drum instructor, preferably with a minimum of five years of adult teaching experience
•
Ability to teach and engage with younger students
•
Proficiency in various drumming styles, preferable African and techniques
•
Familiarity with different drumming rhythms and their cultural significance
•
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with students and provide constructive feedback
•
Ability to provide samples of previous work as an African drum instructor
•
Three reference letters from individuals who have hired you in the past, along with one letter from a colleague or collaborator
•
Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability
Responsibilities
•
Teach drumming techniques to students aged 5-9, focusing on building their skills and technique
•
Design lesson plans and curricula to cater to the student's needs and abilities.- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment to ensure an enjoyable and engaging experience for all students
•
Effectively manage and handle behavior from urban youth
•
Demonstrate good communication skills and maintain professional conduct with students, parents, and staff
Benefits
•
For instructors teaching students aged 16 to 18 years old, the pay rate is $20-$25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
•
For instructors with over five years of professional adult experience, the pay range increases to $35-$50 per hr
•
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
•
Expected hours: 2 per week Tues/Thurs, Now-June.
