Musical Director Wanted For Mens Glee Club In Maplewood, NJ

A long-established men’s vocal ensemble, is seeking a dynamic and passionate new Director as our current director transitions to emeritus status.

Do you love leading a group of singers and inspiring others through music? The Glee Club is a welcoming group of men who enjoy good music, camaraderie, and sharing the joy of singing with the community. We are searching for a dedicated musical leader to conduct rehearsals and performances in a fun, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere.

About the Position
• Lead Monday evening rehearsals in Maplewood, NJ (7:45–9:45 pm)
• Conduct performances, with two main concerts per year (Winter and Spring) and additional smaller events
• Collaborate with two Artistic Directors who select music, customize arrangements, and support teaching
• Help members of all skill levels enjoy a rewarding musical experience

Who We’re Looking For
• Experience directing choirs or vocal ensembles, especially groups of male voices
• Strong musical background and a passion for teaching choral singing
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Enthusiasm for a wide-ranging TTBB repertoire: pop, rock, Broadway, classic glee club songs, and comedic pieces

• Non-audition, community chorus welcoming singers of all ability levels
• Rehearsal and concert schedule designed for busy adults
• Seasonal cycles: September–December (Winter), January–May (Spring)
• Occasional additional performances at festivals, schools, and local events
