Singers, Dancers & All-Round Entertainers Wanted For Cruise Ship Opportunities

Scenic and Emerald Cruises are looking for Performers and All-Round Entertainers to work on our Luxury River Cruise Ships for the 2024 season.

Requirements.
• Experience in the field of entertainment or as an animator at a hotel or on a cruise ship.
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Trouble shooting skills.
• Stress tolerant.
• Team player.
• Familiar with a multicultural working environment.
• Outgoing and friendly personality.
• Guest oriented and professional attitude.
• Some experience with studio technical equipment.
• Playing an instrument or acquaintance with performing arts is an advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities.
• In charge of evening entertainment such as trivia’s, game shows, personal performances, Disco nights.
• Host onboard Daytime Activities such as Golf Putting, Cornhole, Afternoon Trivia’s.
• Provide professional and courteous service.
• Assist Cruise Director with outgoing transfers and manage taxis on disembarkation day.
• Organize and actively (assist guide) join EmeraldACTIVE tours.
• Assist Cruise Director with excursions as per instructions.
• Research, prepare and execute offboard activities.
• Setup and regularly control the background music system on board.
• Setup music and microphone for crew parade on farewell gala dinners.
• Take photographs and videos on board or ashore for social media as requested.
• Assist or host Future Cruise Sales presentation once per cruise, highlighting everything we offer at Scenic Group
• Report to CD and provide him/her info about daily rundown of activities, attendances and feedback (CD to add to daily report)

Side Tasks.
• In charge of incoming luggage handling on embarkation day.
• Assist other departments as per supervisor’s instruction – i.e. take over morning activities (e.g. Pilates, and morning stretch) in case well-being coach is not available.
• Perform other duties assigned, such as assisting the bar team with cleaning in the evening, loadings, and garbage off-loadings as per supervisor’s instruction.
• Participate in all safety drills as per captain’s orders and ensure solid knowledge of the designated safety role.
